Dr Damian Okaibedi Eke is a Research Fellow in the EU Human Brain Project at De Montfort University (DMU) in the Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility. He is the Data Governance coordinator for the Human Brain Project and the Chair of International Brain Initiative's (IBI) Taskforce on Data governance. Damian has a Philosophy background and gained a PhD in Computer Ethics from DMU. His research interests include Responsible governance of biomedical data, Neurodata governance, Critical research in ICT, Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), Technology Ethics, Data ethics, Neuroethics, Ethics of AI systems and ICT4D. He is also working on research to develop a Biodata repository to make African health data findable and usable.
