Prof. Dr Kamal Kant Dwivedi, is presently the Senior Vice-President of Ritnanad Balved Education Foundation, Amity Group of Universities and the President of Global Academy of Doctorates.
He is a Scientist, Researcher, Teacher, Educator, Administrator, Diplomat and Science Communicator. For over 40 years he served in India and abroad in different capacities. Previously, Prof. Dwivedi served as the Vice-Chancellor, Arunachal University, Itanagar; Vice-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, Gurgaon and Vice-Chancellor, ITM University Gwalior, He also served as Head of Division, Adviser, NCSTC (DST) and Director in the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, as Counsellor (Science, Technology, Health and Education), Embassy of India, Washington DC, Visiting Scientist, University of Giessen, the University of Marburg and Hahn-Meitner Institute, Berlin, Germany and Faculty member at North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong.
Prof. Dwivedi has significantly contributed to enhancing scientific understanding by participating in over three hundred scientific conferences, symposia, and seminars, by chairing technical sessions and delivering plenary and invited talks. He obtained his PhD in 1977 from I.I.T. Kanpur and M.Sc. (Chemistry) in 1972 from Lucknow University. He has specialized in the fields of Chemical, Nuclear and Environmental Science, Science and Technology Cooperation, Science Administration and Communication. Prof. Dwivedi pursued research in truly inter-disciplinary areas and published about 200 research papers.
Prof. Dwivedi held the prestigious position of the President of the International Nuclear Track Society representing more than 40 countries. He is the founder President of the “Global Academy of Doctorates” and its network having about 5000 members from 55 countries. He represented India as Head of the Indian Delegation for SAARC S&T Committee Summit in Islamabad, (2009), serving as a member of the Advisory Board of the Department of Education in Science and Mathematics, NCERT (since 2018), member of the Advisory Think Tank of World Forum for Education and B.E.S.T. Innovation University (since 2019), and also as a member of Board and Advisor of Smart University Foundation, USA (2019).
He is recipient of 10 different national and international fellowships, the prestigious “India 2000 Millennium Award (1999), the Saraswati Centenary Award”, Science Glory Award (2017) and was elected as the Fellow of the International Academy of Physical Sciences (FIAPS) in 2011 and President of the Chemical Sciences for the Centenary year (2012-13) of the Indian Science Congress. Dr. Dwivedi is appointed as Chairman of the Project Screening Committee (2020-2023) of the NCSTC, DST, Government of India.
